For about 20 years now, the infomercial has been an obsession of mine.
I guess part of it is the inherent contradiction of it all: Entertainment as Advertising … or is it Advertising as Entertainment?
The paradox would consume me. But it was the D-rate production values and F-list hosts that hooked me.
